When I finally trade for a living, my sole income will come from building strategies to take advantage of the price movements in the market. Initially, an income of about $30,000/year would be sufficient for me due to the fact I make significantly less at my current job. This requires me to treat my trading as a business. An office with all the equipment and software I need and even a small business checking account at a desired bank. As I get even more experienced I want to make six figures a year just off my trading. Of course, I want to take this money away from the market and invest in real estate, but that's another goal entirely.
