Reducing my carbon footprint
I am really concerned about protecting the environment, and I think it is all of our responsibility to do our bit to ensure that we do what we can.
In the 'hints and tips' section, I have included a list of many ways to reduce your carbon footprint. There is so much that I could be doing, and don't - and this is just bad habits and laziness on my part. Examples include turning out the lights when I leave the room (I often don't), turning off my computer when I am done (I rarely do), printing double sided instead of single sided etc etc.
So I am going to commit to these basic steps:
- Always turn out the light when I am done in a room.
- Shut down my computer when I am finished.
- Whenever I print (I will avoid this wherever possible), to print double sided.
- Stop drinking bottled water (refil bottles from a filter, not throw bottles away)
- Recycle (separate goal)
