"The hardest part was deciding which design I wanted!"
How I did it
I was determined I wanted a tatto, but a friend advised me that I should wait 6 months before getting one - if I still wanted one as much at the end of the 6 months I should go for it, but if I didn't I would be glad I didn't rush into it.
After the 6 months, I was still super keen to get a tattoo, so I started looking at designs that I wanted. After a bit of research on the internet, I found the tattoo I wanted. I made a copy of the pattern, and tried it out on various parts of my body to see where it would look best.
Once I had settled on the design and part of my body, I searched for a tattoo artist, making sure I went to a highly recommended one.
I started to collect pics of cool art and tattoos. I learned what a good line looked like and how tattoos fade. I finally decided on a Mehndi (henna tattoo) inspired look. actually designed two tattoos. I loved the last design, but the outline was complicated for a tattoo.Once I had the outline finished, I made copies and colored it in many times. I then looked on the internet to find an artist to do the Tattoo.

Tips & Advice
For your first tattoo, I would recommend that you have it on a part of your body which can be easily covered. This way, if you don't like it, you can easily cover it up when in public.
I found that tattoo on the bone really hurt - other parts of the body are not so bad.
It is important that you really love your design. Look at it a lot in the weeks leading up to your tattoo - if you get bored of it, it is not for you.
