"I am married!"
How I did it
Pre-requisite for getting married for me was a man. I have always wanted to get married, and I am lucky enough to have met an amazing guy a couple of years ago.
We started to hang out, talk, go for drinks, for walks, until we found that we couldn't be apart.
He asked me to marry him a year after we met, and we finally got married in January 2010.
Planning was really stressful - mainly because the mother of my husband had very definite ideas about what she wanted, which were in total disagreement with what I wanted. We finally got through our disagreements and the actual wedding was hands down the best day of my life.

Tips & Advice
We wrote our own vows for the ceremony, and I would really recommend that - it makes the whole thing so much more personal.
Hire a photographer to take a lot of pictures - this will likely be a day you will want to look back on in years to come. (Which reminds me - wear underwear under your dress - at the end of the night some crazy photos were being taken!)
