It is working.
I started to go to some meditation and personal development talks and, whilst I did meet some really positive and open minded people, none of them really developed into friendships - or haven't yet. I will keep going to these as I am really enjoying them.
I have also signed up to a martial arts course, something I really enjoy, and I have met quite a few positive people, and I have been going out for drinks with them regularly. I can still do better in this goal, but I am definitely making progress.

I really want to make something of my life, to achieve all I can, and to adopt a positive mindset.
The problem is that so many of my friends are very very negative and dare I say small minded. It is very hard to be open to new things and new ideas when those around you are being negative or do not accept these ideas.
For this reason, I want to surround myself with a group of positive friends.
